Born on June 24, 2007 at 10:17 pm in Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, NC.

Birth Weight: 9 lbs., 4 oz.

Length: 19.5 in.

Velma's Mom Karen arrived on June 24, at 1:00 pm in Norfolk, VA. She arrived at our house around 2:30, with Dave. Lars and Velma were hanging out, relaxing. Velma had planned on going into labor this day, so was fully prepared with bag packed. Sure enough, Velma went into labor at home around 3:30 (water broke). We hung out around home until about 7:30. Moving right along, she was at 9 cm around 10:00pm and Erik was here at 10:17pm.

Lars got to come visit the next morning. He was very excited to meet his new brother.



The nurses were great. Here Lars is wearing his "future doctor" hat.

We were released from the hospital on Tuesday evening. Here Erik is ready to head home.

Virginia sights and new house

This is the type of tree I'd really like to plant. I have no idea what it is. This was in VA at the casemate museum...a very cool museum. The park it is located near is the Jefferson Davis Memorial Park. I could be wrong...but wasn't he on the other side? :)

We decided to cut Lars' hair because it's so hot here. He's how he looked before. After pictures are all over. Here is a picture of our front porch again.

The Move from Kodiak

We finally arrived in Elizabeth City, NC. We found a house and are starting to make it look like our home. We all really miss Kodiak...especially the weather! There is this bright round circle in the sky every day...it's very hot. Here are some pictures from our trip across country.
